Minimum Qualification Requirements:
* Minimum of a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in environment or natural resource management, or a related field;
* At least ten (10) years of experience in the respective field of technical expertise; preferably in water and natural resource management, biodiversity, climate change adaptation, public-private partnerships, and/or climate and environmental resilience;
* A minimum of five (5) years of supervisory work experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and proven track record managing and coordinating collaboration among stakeholders (including regional and national-level governments, the private sector, and local organizations);
* Prior experience working on USAID-funded development programs within Southern Africa context strongly preferred;
* Experience designing and implementing programming related to transboundary water and natural resource management and building more resilient and water secure communities and ecosystems;
*Proven track record collaborating with a diverse array of stakeholders and fostering collaborative learning and adaptive management, and social inclusion with women, youth, indigenous and other vulnerable populations;
* Professional fluency in English required. Professional fluency in Portuguese an advantage.
