Deputy Chief of Party

 Essential KSAs Required (experience, skills, education, certification, etc.):

• Master’s degree in international relations, economics, energy/environmental policy, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant project management and/or operations experience on USAID, MCC, and other multi-lateral donor projects
• Experience with complex cost-plus fixed fee budgeting and project forecasting
• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations System and AIDAR regulations for travel and procurement
• Must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously and re-prioritize workload and team assignments as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to produce accurate and complete documents in a timely manner that communicates complex information using superior writing and communication skills in English and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
• Must have highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent listening skills, highly developed sense of responsibility and commitment to customer service.
• Must be able to travel (international field sites), as needed.

Valued but not required KSA's:

• Previous field operations experience
• Experience managing complex programs.
• Monitoring and evaluation experience, including the development of M&E plans, data collection against project indicators.
• Spanish or French proficiency 

Line management responsibility:

• Junior – mid-level consultants

Physical demands & work environment: 

• Office setting with some international travel
