The opportunity

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain various registers, including Contract Register, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Intellectual Property.
  • Provide contractual and administrative support for bids and contracts.
  • Assist in submitting commercial letters, tender responses, and handling other contractual matters.
  • Provide advice to Senior Management and project/operations managers on operational risk and compliance.
  • Act as the primary interface between internal and external customers for all contractual matters.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on contract management best practices and compliance requirements.

Selection criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g. Law, Accounting or Business Management). Formal qualification in Law is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in leading contracting activities.
  • Understanding of general contracting principles and the application of relevant techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with diverse multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams with a focus on service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including customers.
  • Previous demonstrated experience with Australian Standard or FIDIC suite of templates is highly desirable.
  • Strong plain English drafting skills.
