Communication Specialist, Sri Lanka TAG

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, mass communication, social science research, or a related area is required.
• Minimum five years of professional experience as a Copy Editor, Journalist, Communications Specialist, Researcher, or other similar experience required.
• Experience working on international development programs in Bangladesh, particularly USAID-funded required.
• Experience producing information products for a variety of target audiences under tight timeframes is required.
• Experience using current software packages for data visualization and presentations preferred.
• Experience synthesizing large amounts of information into different formats (e.g., weekly reports, snapshots, political/security briefings, ad hoc reporting etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of development issues required.
• Understanding of and commitment to gender and diversity considerations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in English and one national language, such as Sinhala or Tamil, required. Proficiency in a second national language, such as Sinhala or Tamil, desired.
