NDY NZ Graduate Structural Engineer - 2027 Program

About our graduate program

Our two-year program builds your consulting and technical skills. You will work with clients, learn how projects move from sketch to site and grow your confidence as a trusted adviser. You will join social and networking events, rotate across disciplines and get hands on experience that sets you up for a strong career.

Must haves

• Near completion of, or recently completed, a civil or structural engineering degree with a structural focus
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Curious mindset with problem solving skills
• Available to start in 2027
• Full New Zealand working rights for the duration of the program
   

Nice to haves

• Understanding of structural fundamentals (e.g. concrete and steel design principles)  
• Familiarity with structural analysis/design software (e.g. ETABS, SpaceGass)  
• Ability to interpret and navigate New Zealand standards (even at a foundational level)  
• Studio, thesis or internship experience related to buildings or consultancy
• Site, construction or drafting experience
• Ability to sketch and communicate concepts visually
