What the electrical team does

Our electrical team designs safe, efficient power and lighting systems. We plan cable routes and infrastructure, size switchboards and backup power, integrate solar photovoltaics (PV), and coordinate with information and communications technology (ICT) pathways. We turn client goals into clear, buildable designs.

What you’ll do

  • Develop electrical designs for power, lighting and infrastructure that meet codes and client goals
  • Contribute to cable routing, earthing, switchboards, backup power and solar PV
  • Build models and reports for power studies, lighting, energy assessments and 3D layouts
  • Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines to turn concepts into buildable solutions
  • Join site visits to see designs installed, tested and commissioned
  • Support client meetings, capture requirements and present clear options
  • Improve the brief where you can deliver safer, simpler and more sustainable outcomes

How we’ll support you

  • A dedicated buddy and mentor, plus regular check-ins with senior leaders
  • Onsite and virtual workshops, technical training and knowledge shares
  • Rotation opportunities across disciplines to broaden your skills
  • Practical feedback loops so you can see progress fast

What you’ll get

  • Early ownership on visible projects with coaching when you need it
  • Variety that stretches you across sectors and project stages
  • Approachable leaders and a small team feel, backed by Tetra Tech’s network of more than 22,000 specialists
  • 5 weeks of annual leave and a supportive team culture
  • Chances to give back, including volunteering with EWB and community initiatives
