We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist / Civil /Tailings Engineer to join our team on a 12-month contract (with potential to extend) as Tetra Tech Coffey on-site construction QA/QC representative for a tailings dam project in Indonesia.
The AwakMas Mindo Project is a gold mine development in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The site is located in Latimojong Sub-District, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province., approximately 350km from Makassar and 42 km from Belopa in Sulawesi.
You’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation, technical excellence, and professional development. The FIFO roster of 3 weeks on/3 weeks off provides an excellent balance between work and personal time.
About the Role
This opportunity offers the chance to gain valuable international project experience, working on a complex and challenging tailings project in a supportive and collaborative environment.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
On-site construction monitoring, QA/QC and inspection of tailings dam works
Supervise field testing, instrumentation installation and routine monitoring
Review contractor submittals, prepare inspection reports and advise on technical issues
Ensure compliance with design, specifications, HSE and regulatory requirements
About You
You’ll bring:
Degree in Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering
6+ years geotechnical experience with 3+ years on tailings or large earthworks
Strong field QA/QC, instrumentation and report writing skills
Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and multicultural teams.
Willingness to work on a 3:3 roster; Indonesian experience is a plus
